Terms of Service
Effective 2026-05-16
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Holopedia (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent where you live, if higher) to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for everything that happens under your account.
2. The service
Holopedia generates short interactive 3D lessons from text topics you provide. Generation involves multiple third-party AI providers and is non-deterministic — repeated submissions of the same topic can produce different results, and any individual lesson may fail to complete. We will attempt to refund a generation credit when a lesson is unable to complete; in some cases a partial result may be delivered instead.
3. Plans, billing, and refunds
Paid plans are billed monthly in advance and renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or explicitly offered. If you believe you have been billed in error, contact us within thirty (30) days of the charge and we will review in good faith. Taxes are your responsibility unless we state otherwise at checkout. Prices and plan limits may change with reasonable advance notice.
4. Your content
You retain ownership of the topics you submit. You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to process those topics through the generation pipeline and to host and display the resulting lesson on your account. Lessons you mark public may also be displayed in the gallery and used in product communications.
Subject to your continued compliance with these Terms, you receive rights to use the lessons you generate for personal, educational, and reasonable commercial purposes — for example, in YouTube videos, Substack posts, classroom materials, or paid courseware. You may not resell raw assets generated by the Service as a stock asset library or train a competing generative model on them.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- generate content that is illegal, infringes others’ rights, or violates applicable export controls;
- generate sexual content involving minors, content that incites violence or self-harm, or content depicting real people in deceptive ways;
- circumvent our usage limits, rate limits, or moderation systems;
- reverse engineer, scrape, or otherwise extract source assets or model weights from the Service;
- use automated tools to create accounts or generate lessons at a scale not consistent with normal human use; or
- interfere with the security or integrity of the Service.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these rules.
6. AI-generated output
Lessons are produced by generative models and may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. The Service is not a substitute for professional or peer-reviewed sources. You are responsible for reviewing generated content before relying on or republishing it. We do not warrant that any lesson is factually correct.
7. Third-party services
The Service depends on third-party providers listed in our Privacy Policy. Their availability is outside our control; outages on their side may cause generation to slow, fail, or be temporarily unavailable.
8. Intellectual property
The Service, including its name, logo, design, code, and underlying models, is owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service in accordance with these Terms.
9. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
10. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, OR DATA. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO LIABILITY, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (USD 100).
11. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms.
12. Termination
You may close your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service for material breach of these Terms, suspected fraud, or where required by law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 4, 8, 9, 10, and 11) survive.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. If a change is material we will notify you by email or an in-product notice. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of an update constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
